Final Concept

This interactive design will appear in London's Science Museum and will be on for roughly a month in total. There will be a large projection of the image above, a plain version of the world map with the heading 'Where in the world are you from'.
The next image is self explanatory. Although I would like people without twitter or Facebook to still be able to access the interactive design, so it does not become a limiting factor.
The audience will then be able to access a mac laptop/computer which will be located in the exhibition room where they can sign into Facebook or Twitter to upload their own personal images to add to the already growing collection. When viewing images from different countries music will be mixed up (old/new) to complement the images and altogether make a more interesting experience for the audience.
These will be the 3 main categories which images will be put into. Going back to if people don't have Facebook, how will they upload images? Through bluetooth or directly taking photographs from the Mac computer, which is another added fun factor to the design. Below are some example designs of how the interactive design will merge photographs together from the past and present. There should be signs, information boards and a couple of people assisting/troubleshooting any problems the audience may have with the design. The images below are obviously based on culture, food and landmarks from London, England.
The large projector on the walls will be showing a constant presentation of new users being added on the map with their selected icons, most likely being their profile picture from twitter or Facebook. Another possibility is that the images combining together could also be shown on this screen along with the icons of user, to create more interest. Below is a small example of icons in Europe.
The Science Museum is a museum for all ages, and many tourists will visit it everyday as it provides many interesting aspects of science etc. My idea will add a little culture, a fun thing to do at the start of their journey through the museum, like a welcome, hello from London. And in time creating a great piece of design documenting traveling, people, their likes and their photography skills! I am a photographer myself so I am very interested in this area of design.
